University of Michigan ASDA

About

barton_tower.jpgThe University of Michigan ASDA is a student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in dentistry.

ASDA introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy.

Students in the School of Dentistry have participated in and benefited from ASDA for many years. In 2007, the group expanded to include pre-dental students at Michigan. This change has helped integrate undergraduate students into the dental school long before they apply. It has also increased general awareness for ASDA which will promote growth in the years to come.

This chapter provides the best possible resources, services, and benefits for its members. As ASDA develops, both students and the dental community as a whole will be impacted. The University of Michigan will continue to imprint the “Michigan Difference” upon all of its graduates thereby preparing them for the dental field. The University of Michigan ASDA’s keystone principle is to provide the resources and services that students need to be successful in the field of dentistry. This chapter is dedicated to postively impacting the quality of life for everyone in the dental community.
